Website Launch

Last night was the official launch of the website. I have been maintaining my blog for a while now, but the site has been out of comission so it is good to actually have a link to it now. Hopefully the site will serve as a contact point for family and friends to track me as I travel about the world trying to figure out where it is that I am supposed to be. Hopefully you can find something in it to take with you. Hav fun and keep in touch.

Me, Celine Dion, Jerry Seinfeld, and Sir Elton... too much for one picture.

Boarding at the Shoe

Just thought I'd put up a few photos from outside at the mountain. This is mainly so people know that I do more than just go to the bar...

The tiny rail (AKA the one that I tweaked my knee on seconds after this shot)

I am a douche.

Still douching it up

The triple... 30 feet in total

Man in action.

I don't really get the camera out much while I am out there because I don't want to break it. Hopefully it will be making a few more trips out there with me in the future.

Adios Australia

It has been a few days since the Australians (most of them) left the mountain. Their last night was a Tuesday and they were in typical form. This guy was even elected the official Lakewood Shuttle Driver. Here are some photo highlights from the night. The rest of the pics should be in the photobucket account shortly.

Easier to start at the end of the night first and try to remember it all. (Note: I was the driver so I wasn't drinking. Just thought I should note that incase my mother decides to do some reading.) Hi mom.

The Bob gave some creepy love...

Then Bob got some love

(These people seem to be having a good time: Adios Marshy and Stef)

(OK so Gregg is South African, but he can still make the Blog)

Going back to a land down under

It is the time of the season where more of the internationals pack up shop and get deported. Tonight is the last night for most of the Australians so I am sure it is going to get a bit wild so I will try and take a few pictures... now that I think of it why am I not out already.

Valentine's Day Slumber

Another year, another Valentine's day. I would like for the world to know that while you were exchanging gifts and going out on dates accompanied by greeting cards, this guy was passed out. I slept from right around 7pm last night until early this morning. I have to admit that it was a great night with no hangover or pain in the wallet area.

Valentine's Day Khaki Run

For the second time this season I strapped into some rental boots and took to the slopes for a daytime khaki run. This is my new tradition here at the shoe, and from last times attendance of two it has now grown to three. Basically it consists of one run on the clock with no gloves, no jacket, no ski pants (note that Sergio still had his on from the morning), and no winter hats or goggles. Just boots and your board of choice (which luckily mine was in the shop).

This was us pre-run (top)
Blake was owning the khaki look. I think he went golfing after this in his boots. (below)

My camera was only letting me take oner picture at a time before shutting off due to battery, but I still got some shots of the Serg in action.

In the end it was all good.

Screw you Jose Cuervo

The other weekend up here on the mountain was Jose Cuervo weekend so on top of a lot of blatant alcoholism and a bunch of college and middle-age alcoholic showing up, there were also games. The one I entered was the box race. The rules were that your sled had to be made of cardboard and tape. They didn't set guidelines on apparel so I decided that spandex and a big helmet was the most aerodynamic approach. (note that I did a whole slew of stretching pre-race)

The competition was composed of local businesses and some guests who had made their entries the day before.

Overall I was told that I came in second out of the roughly 30 entries. The championship can be found inside my photobucket account.... let me know who you think won.... I kicked ass.

No Sleep til Work

So last night I couldn't sleep at all... not so much because of being full of energy, but that this guy

decided to have a party that started at 1 in the morning and I finally excused myself from the apartment at 3 something in the morning. Tried sleeping in the car outside of work but the sub-freezing temps didn't allow that so I got to sleep on the floor inside of the shop. FUN FUN

I might have been ok with it had he been dressed like this. Oh well

Mardi Gras Snowshoe 08

Mardi Gras, how I barely knew ye. It was an interesting night to say the least and this is how it all began. One of many on the night...

I ended up at the bar.... and then this guy showed up.

The dude abided.

There were beads everywhere.... those weren't mine.

(Note: all pictures from the night were taken by my professional photographer... AKA Christian or the guy on the left)

I was in no shape to take pictures and I wasn't about ready to trust Ben to do it. (He has a bum leg at the moment so I knew that he could not get the extreme angles needed to capture the night)

In the end it all turned out a little blurry but it appears that this Ben had a good time.

I guess I will wrap it up for the night. I should start linking this to my photobucket account shortly.

Where there is a Harman... there is a Vegas

Well it has been a little while since my pre-xmas trip to Vegas to celebrate (or mourn rather) the future marriage of one of my best friends. Yes that means a bachelor party for those of you who have very little deductive skill. This is the groom himself Mr. John Harman.
The setting was the Mirage, but I will admit that some of the finer moments occured in the Casino Royale... of course I have no pictures there because great moments are not designed to be captured on film, but moments such as the monorail are.
All great things must come to an end though and the end of the monorail came at the stratoshpere, but not before a quick stop at the Hilton. (Note to all: the Hilton is designed for Star Trek fans by Star Trek fans.... do not go unless you are in the presence of a Trekkie such as this guy)

(Note to all: get the coupons from the monorail for these drinks)
Enjoy them anyway that you want
Then off to the Stratosphere to ride some rides and to give the groom a little time to have his last look at freedom. Good thing we were there for support (TJ is upset that we left his Star Trek brethren)
Harman OUT!!!

Additional photos will be up and running soon.
