POWDER DAY IN THE CHAMONIX VALLEY!!!

Yesterday there was over a foot of fresh snowfall in the Chamonix Valley... Yes, I mean it was a powder day.

Here is a shot of me in front of the trail map to start my day.

I love it when you can stop and look down and not see your board....

I had to go off-piste which is the French way of saying off of the trail to make some of my own lines.

I also did some boarding in Switzerland as well because the border is literally this rope.

After all of my travels you can tell that this was the best and easiest border crossing I have ever had to make.

Snowing at Mont Blanc...

With 2 days left here to board I awoke to see the snow falling and half a foot of fresh powder already down from the night before. My morning will be spent on one set of slopes and the afternoon on the Grand Montets.

Napoleon in the making

With my new status in England I am looking to conquer Europe one or many countries at a time. I find myself now planning the next leg. The schedule as of now consists of Ireland for St. Patty's, then flying to Switzerland with a drive to France for snowboarding at Mont Blanc, back to Switzerland and then potentially hopping on and off buses through a few countries.

Hopefully by the time I leave here half of these have been infected by my presence.

Plans for the future

With plans for Cork I have neglected to mention the upcoming trip to Chamonix, France to do some snowboarding at Mont Blanc. I will be traveling with Amy's family from the 20th through 26th of March.

In case you haven't been paying attention that means from the 17th through 19th in Ireland and the 20th through 26th in France and Switzerland.

Here are some shots of Chamonix and Mont Blanc

Just a few more weeks and I get to use the boards I brought over.

I am now looking into extending the trip and doing some travels from here through the surrounding region. No plans as of yet, but the possibilities are endless.
