PUB GOLF in Moseley

To celebrate Amy's birthday we had a pub golf night. It requires that you dress up like a golfer, do a pub crawl, and score your drinks based on how many pulls you down it in with a different drink at each pub.

Summer is trying to start in England

The sun has been making some appearances here in Birmingham England but it just doesn't stay around long enough. It peeks out from behind the clouds just long enough to get you to head out of the house then vanishes behind dark clouds that bring cold wind.

With any luck this guy will manage to soak in a little bit of the sunshine before it hides again. I am off to try now.

Moseley Park

I know I have been really lazy about posting, but I am really lazy. Yesterday I went to Moseley park here in Moseley Village. It was the first truly beautiful day of the year here in Birmingham so I went out to get a little sun and toss around the frisbee.

There is a lake that has massive fish in it that guys like this never catch.
Ben attempted to do some poi.

Haley and Ben were both there.

Amy and Haley fed the swans and ducks.

They got kinda close and posed for some photos.

Since my schedule has changed I find myself looking toward Paris for a little museum hopping and then on to Nothern Ireland to complete my UK map.

Back in Moseley

Now that my European adventure has been over for some time and the Easter Holiday has passed I find myself being quite lazy. I haven't posted in quite a few days and to be honest because I am now recovering from the restlessness of travel. Now that the return and holiday are out of the way I am sleeping until noon and doing nothing with my days. I did go out to the Bull's Head here in Moseley on Easter Sunday because Monday was a Bank Holiday here so everyone was out on the town.

As of now there are no set plans to do any traveling in the immediate future, but I am sure that I will find somewhere to end up before too long.

Progressive Prostitution

I saw this the other day and thought it was a great idea for prostitutes. The van serves as a billboard and a transport for runs to the market or clinic after a session. Birmingham is quite the progressive place for luvin...
Now to buy a van...

My Birthday Video

I haven't really shown my day-to-day here so I figured I'd make a video of my birthday for my fam and friends back home. Warning - It can be quite boring.

My First Real "Rainy" Englsih Day

Since making the move over to England I really haven't had to deal with the bad weather that it is famous for. Today finally showed me what the "typical" is like. It is wet and cold outside so I am taking a day off from checking out the surrounding area and focusing on my thesis and maybe some time wasted sitting on the ball (like I am now) and playing XBox.

Here are a couple of views from the flat of the cold and wet world that rest outside.

Birthday Round 1

The need of celebration and the lack of a weekend for my birthday (which is March 4) Amy decided we would celebrate it this past Friday (Feb 27).

Needless to say it has now been referred to as my not-birthday. First her Mother and Gramps came through and took me out for a couple of pints at the Fighting Cocks. Needless to say, Amy never informed them that my birthday was not actually until the 4th.

That night I also chose to start the night out at the dive bar Wetherspoon's because I was too lazy to leave Moseley.

Here are some shots.

Rob and Ben(on the right)

Amy and Dani were also there (as was Ben)

OK so let's just say there were a few people there and that Ben tried hard to be in every picture.

Needless to say it was a very loving occasion.... note that this pic did not have Ben in it.

Thanks to everyone for celebrating my not-birthday.
