Baltimore

So I woke up this morning and I was in Baltimore. It was pretty much unplanned, but now I am here. Of course I have no real agenda so I just chilled around the Inner Harbor.

Last night I had an epic cheeseburger at the Hard Rock
And today I was chased by a Dinosaur.

But it got distracted by another dinosaur and I escaped in one piece.

FLIGHT BOOKED

I am all set to fly out now! I have purchased a plane ticket to Lima, Peru on August 17th. While in South America I plan to work my way around the continent for as long as I can. To save a little money on the flight I am hitching a ride with some relatives that are coming to visit back to Florida to catch my flight there.

I am flying Spirit Airlines
Out of the Fort Lauderdale airport
I will be spending the first part of my trip in Lima Peru

Then I will work my way to Cusco Peru
And from Cusco I will have access to Machu Picchu.

History Lesson: Machu Picchu was constructed around 1460, at the height of the Inca Empire. It was abandoned less than 100 years later. It is likely that most of its inhabitants were wiped out by smallpox before the Spanish conquistadors arrived.

From here the immediate plans are:

Santiago, Chile

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Montevideo, Uruguay

Kayaking the Greenbrier

Today Josh and I loaded up the kayaks and headed out for a couple of hours on the Greenbrier river

I levatated above my kayak

Then we saw a deer

Josh tried to ram it with his kayak

He failed

Then he tried to ram a goose

He failed

Other than the water being a little low, the weather here was perfect. The trip took just over 2 hours so all in all, a good day.

Mustache Riding

Josh decided thaq he, Robbie, and I should grow some sweet staches. In doing so me and Robbie chose the sweet names Dong Selleck (Bob) and Hurt Reynolds (Me) and I randomly assigned Josh the name Ned Falanderer.

Of course he could barely grow a stache

It is a bad pic, but trust me I grew a sweet stache

And here is the pic of Bob... oh wait... he didn't grow one.

Ribs

So I have been trying to figure out how to make "fall off the bone" ribs, but have had little luck. Yesterday I attempted again and failed. I make my own sauce that is good, but the ribs still lack in tenderness. I never knew it could be so delicious to fail at something.

Let Me Eat Cake

To celebrate absolutely nothing I decided that an ice cream cake was an awesome idea so I went to Dairy Queen. I had a smaller one picked out, but then the girl behind the counter let me know that there was a "Mud-boggin" cake. One word.... SOLD

After the purchase a few friends gathered at the house to partake in cake and watch some of the All-Star game.

Needless to say I devoured a piece that was ginourmous

Recovering from the Beach - Camping Night 2

On night two of camping I donned this sweet camo hat and dialed in for a good night

Nora showed off her shirt.... not really sure why

Josh donned the hat as well, but his lack of visible facial hair caused it to continuously jump off of his head.

Of course after we had already crashed 2 more people showed up... we were way too lazy to get back up.

Now that the short camping trip is over I am slightly motivated to accomplish some of the things I need to. I did manage to spend a couple of hours studying Spanish while I was out there so all in all - "Great Success"
